first quarter thoughts
huge for the pats to stop ray rice on the first play of scrimmage. what are the chances the ravens had exactly the same play called as two years ago?
this is shaping up to be a great matchup, with the ravens giving up nothing easy on defense. baltimore look like they are going softer on the run, knowing the pats would rather pass on them on every down.
pats defense are playing lights out, with three sacks on three drives. if this continues, theres a chance the pats will top the ‘negative plays forced’ they set last week. a play-action pass late in the quarter was the only major positive ravens play we’ve seen.
